Potawatomi Wildlife Park protects both the site of the Bennac Post removal Potawatomi Indiana Village as well as prehistoric features dating back to 8,000 - 10,000 BC.
This historic village was inhabited by Potawatomi Indians and Roman Catholic "metis" (mixed French Canadian/Native American) around A.D. 1830.
